particle_alert_delete

Delete an alert (soft delete; past matches and deliveries are retained).

Delete an alert. This is a destructive tool, but a soft delete: the alert stops producing matches and disappears from particle_alert_list, while its past matches and deliveries are retained for audit. A deleted alert also frees its slot against your plan’s alert allowance.

Only the alert’s creator or an organization OWNER or ADMIN can delete it. An API key acts as the user who created the key, and an OAuth connection acts as the user who authorized it. Any other caller gets a 403 error.

To pause an alert instead of removing it — keeping it in the list and resumable later — use particle_alert_update with is_active=false.
